Reid Wilson – Accelerated Treatment For Anxiety: Core Concepts
Clients can get stuck talking about symptoms and triggers. Learn how to take a more active approach using cognitive behavioral interventions that empower clients to rapidly recover from panic, phobias and other anxiety disorders.
Accelerated Treatment For Anxiety: Core Concepts
Through a presentation with an accompanying case demonstration, Wilson illustrates the core concepts of his groundbreaking technique to treating common yet stubborn anxiety disorders. By the time Olivia meets with Wilson she says all of her efforts at controlling her anxiety have failed. Contrary to the avoidant strategies she’s used in the past, Wilson suggests a counterintuitive intervention: “going after the distress.”
Wilson helps Olivia embrace her discomfort and fundamentally shifts her frame of reference so that she can more fully engage with her fear, and begin to win “the anxiety game.”
